Sampling without waste: choreography for busy aisles

7 February 2026 · Niran Chaiyasit

In-store sampling can accelerate trial, but only when choreography respects traffic. A booth that congests the main aisle frustrates retailers and shoppers alike.

Design the path: attract, taste or trial, hand the shopper to the facing, and close with a clear price story. Brief staff on three sentences max. Capture a simple daily count—samples, engaged shoppers, units sold nearby.

Waste drops when portion size, timing, and store selection match the category. A calm activation that sells is worth more than a loud one that only entertains.
